Audition - Robyn Murphy

There is not much at all that I can fault about Robyn's audition. At first she seems rather nervous and slightly camera shy however, as she got onto the lip-syncing she became more confident and enthusiastic about the performance. She took on the task in a very professional manor, singing the song all the way through and even singing our song 'Build a Boat' (even though we gave her the choice of singing any song she felt comfortable with), this gave us a better idea of what she would be like if we chose her as our artist. Robyn's facial movements throughout the lip-syncing reminded Kirsty and I of the original artist Maisie Peters making her seem really comfortable and natural in the role and not fake at all.
When it came to the interview Robyn was the most open and enthusiastic out of all the women we auditioned. I really felt her emotion through her story-telling and found myself rooting for her and her 'love story' reminding me of the narrative that Kirsty and I have created for our music video.
Additionally when we came up with the idea for our artist we had Robyn in mind when creating the persona so she fits perfectly but personality wise and style wise.
She also informed us that she has a very open schedule in the times we are planning to film which means that we will be able to use her as much as we need to which is very good for us
Overall we both feel that Robyn is a perfect for the role and is one of the strongest women we have audition (maybe even the strongest) and will definitely be looking into casting her.
